Aperture-A hole or an opening through which light travels.
Shutter-A mechanical device of a camera that controls the duration of a
photographic exposure, as by opening and closing to allow light coming
through the lens to expose a plate or film.
Exposure-A photographic plate or a piece of film so exposed.
Depth of field-The range of distances along the axis of an optical instrument, usu. a
camera lens, through which an object produces a relatively distinct
image.
F-stop-A camera lens aperture setting that corresponds to an f-number.
Focal length-The distance from the surface of a lens or mirror to its focal point.
