Camera History

.A tiny hole is created in one wall. Through the hole light is focused, and the outside scene is projected (upside down) on the opposite wall.

.When Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding of optics and the process of making high quality glass lenses.

.He added "film"

.Light still passes through the lens, to the camera, and shows the film. And in the end  a photograph.

5. An electronic sensor called a CCD.

.Auto The camera will completely control flash and exposure. On most cameras this is labelled "auto", on others simply "A". Some cameras only have (P)rogram. And Program mode has an automatic-assist, just point and shoot. Unlike full auto mode, you can usually control flash and a few other camera settings.

.Portrait mode is used to take a picture of somone, to attempt to blur out the background,  the camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting (aperture).

.To freeze motion to take a picture with the fastest shutter.

.So it can focus and lock on that image you want to take.

.It means No Flash, because sometimes a flash is not needed.

.It means Automatic flash so if the camera thinks flash is needed it will use the flash.
